Learn how to invite an employee to access Xero Me
Employees can use Xero Me to view payslips, submit timesheets, request leave and if they have the correct authority (and permissions) approve leave or timesheets for other employees.
You can also remove an employees access to Xero Me by following these instructions.

Check employee's email address is correct
Firstly, you need to check that the employees email address is entered and correct on their employee details tab by following these steps:
- In the Payroll menu, select Employees.
- Click on the employee's name to open their details;
- In the Details tab, under Contact Information, review your employee's Email to ensure this is correct;
- If you made a change, click Save.
Invite the employee to access Xero Me
- In the Payroll menu, select Employees.
- Select the checkbox next to the employee (or employees) that you wish to access Xero Me
- Click Invite to Xero Me.
Remove access to Xero Me
You can remove an employee's access to Xero Me so they can no longer access the employee portal.
- Click on the organisation name, select Settings, then click Users.
- Select the employee.
- In the Payroll section, click Remove employee access.
If the employee does not have any other permissions, this will also delete their Xero user role.
Automatically remove access to Xero Me
When an employee ceases working, they have 14 days from their date of termination (as set in Xero) to access their Xero Me portal. After this, they will no longer have access, so will need to contact you for any information they previously had access to (including payslips).
